Important Update! Oklahoma Long-Term Care Training Requirements
Effective July 25, 2026, the Oklahoma Insurance Department has revoked the mandatory producer training requirement for long-term care insurance.
The following rule has been revoked:
- OAC 365:25-3-1.4 – Producer Training Requirements for Long-Term Care Insurance
- Effective Date of Revocation: July 25, 2026
As a result, Oklahoma producers are no longer required by state regulation to complete a long-term care insurance training course under OAC 365:25-3-1.4 as a condition of selling long-term care insurance.
What this means for our course catalog:
- The Oklahoma Long-Term Care training course is no longer required to satisfy state licensing requirements.
- Existing course completions remain part of your educational record.
- Producers should continue to stay informed of any future regulatory changes or carrier-specific training requirements, as individual insurance carriers may still require product-specific training before appointing producers to sell their long-term care products.
