Terms and Conditions for LTC Connection's Continuing Education Courses Last updated: 11/2/10
LTC Connection provides long-term care continuing education for licensed insurance agents based on the following terms and conditions below:
Continuing Education Credit All of our courses have been approved by the Department of Insurance in the applicable state and residents of that state will receive insurance continuing education credit when taking one of our courses. If you are a non-resident of the state, you will not receive continuing education, but you will receive a Non-CE certificate of completion. All courses have been approved to meet the state's LTC mandatory LTC training requirements as well as continuing education.
Important note: Certain states prohibit retaking a course under certain circumstances. We advise you to observe rules regarding course retakes when selecting renewal training courses.
Clear Cert LTC Connection is a member of the Clear Cert Provider network. This means that all of our courses have been certified by Clear Cert and LTC Connection is required to report all student course completions. If you register and take one of our classes or online courses, you are consenting for us to report your completion to Clear Cert.
Class Hours In order to offer continuing education credit, our classes must all start and end according to the class schedule. Please arrive 10 minutes early for your class. If you are late for your class or leave early, you will forfeit CE credit and will not receive your Certificate of Completion. We will offer breaks during the class according to the state requirements.
Attendance Rosters Each student is required to sign in at the beginning of class and sign out at the end. The attendance roster will be handed out by the instructor. Please make sure that you do not leave without signing both in and out. If one of your signatures is missing, you will not receive any continuing education credit.
Credit Hours LTC Connection will automatically file the amount of credit hours as advertised for the class with the state Department of Insurance for the state the class was held in. If you live in a different state, you will not receive CE; however, you will still receive a Certificate of Completion. All credit hours will be reported within 10 days of attending the class or sooner if required by the state.
Self-Reporting States If you live in the states of Nebraska or Oregon, these are considered "self-reporting" states. You are responsible for reporting your continuing education credit.
Certificate of Completion LTC Connection will provide each student with one certificate of completion via e-mail within 7-10 business days of attending the class per each state's requirements. We will send it to the e-mail that you used when you registered. You will be required to provide this to the insurance carriers that you do business with. LTC Connection will provide another Certificate of Completion at no charge if we are notified within 30 days of your class that you did not receive the first one.
Duplicate Certificates of Completion Each course completion includes one Certificate of Completion. LTC Connection will provide an additional Certificate of Completion if notified within 30 days from your class that you did not receive it. To order a duplicate Certificate of Completion if it has been more than 30 days since your class, there is a $10 charge. Duplicate Certificates of Completion can be ordered on our Customer Support page.
E-mail Permission LTC Connection will provide you with e-mail reminders when it is time to take your refresher training every 24 months. By registering for our classes, you are agreeing that we can send you these e-mails as well as long-term care insurance news and information.
Refund Policy Unfortunately, there are no refunds, but we are happy to keep a credit on file for 12 months so that you can attend another class. If you cannot attend a class, you do not need to notify us. A credit will be automatically kept on file for you. When you select a class at a future date, you can notify us by sending an email to Customer Support. We will confirm your attendance at that class. If you took a class from one of our Training Partners or a class sponsored by a carrier or organization that you paid for directly, you will need to contact the instructor of that class regarding a refund, as LTC Connection does not collect registration fees for these classes.

Requirements:
-You must have completed the full day of training
-You must have signed in and out on the attendance roster
-You must contact our customer support via e-mail by the end of the next business day after you took your class with the reason you were not satisfied.
Upon receipt of your e-mail, we will process your request. Please note that when we process your refund, this will make your training taken that day null and void and your classroom attendance will not be processed.
Coupons or Promotions
LTC Connection from time to time may offer coupons, or we may have marketing agreements with organizations that have purchased or are issuing coupons. All coupons must be used at the time of registration and are not eligible for use retroactively, or after the expiration date. LTC Connection will make an exception if you had already received a coupon and forgot to use it. You must notify us within 1 business day of registering and we will credit your account the price of the coupon.
Cancellation of Classes If you registered for an LTC Connection class, we will not cancel a class unless there is inclement weather, the instructor is sick, or there are less than 5 students registered for a class. Depending on the need to cancel the class we will do the following:
- Inclement Weather: We will call and e-mail all registered attendees as soon as possible. We will keep a credit on file for a future class.
- Less than 5 Students: We will e-mail all students 2 days before the class. We will offer the choice of a full refund or transfer your registration to a future class.
- Sick Instructor: We will call and e-mail all registered attendees the day before the class. We will automatically provide a full refund.
If you registered for a class offered by one of our Training Partners or a class sponsored by a carrier or organization, they will notify you directly in the event of a cancellation.
